Samba for Linux Guru

Job ID: 32344902

Budget: $50 – $0 USD

I am building a server solution for small to medium-sized businesses.

It is a box loaded with open-source programs that all have one thing in common. They all support LDAP to connect all user credentials together.

I have expertise on a wide variety of Linux server administration needs and have hosted websites on our servers for years. I am also a programmer and developer.

However I do not have any experience setting Samba up in the best way possible.

So I am learning. I have researched this very deeply and am creating a script to install Samba from beginning to end. I have studied this document https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setting_up_Samba_as_an_Active_Directory_Domain_Controller and many more

However I am confused at the many terms AD, DC, NetBIOS, FQDN, DNS Suffix / search and what the role of /etc/resolv.conf might be to improve things.

So I need an expert to be available for questions, answers and screen sharing to get me to the finish line.

I need a true authority on the subject. Someone who has been administering Samba / Active Directory environments for many years.

You may decide that my script is perfect just as it is... but I don't think so :-) . However I need an expert to review every decision before I create the server.

I look forward to hearing from you.
