SBC Scanning Solution
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
We require a program to run on a Raspberry Pi or similar SBC or mini computer. The purpose of the program is as follows:
* Take barcode scanner input and store in file
* Email/Transmit contents of file periodically to central location.
Other requirements for this program include:
* Ability to modify settings of the program, including:
** The site name where the SBC is located
** The email regularity in days
** The time at which the email is sent
** The recipient email address
* Failsafe storing of information, in case SBC loses power. Program should reopen without manual input when power is restored.
* Source code to remain the property of our company and be provided at the end of the project
* Preferred language C#
* Security ensuring that SBC cannot be hacked or accessed without authorisation (SBC will be located off-site so we cannot completely prevent physical access)
* Ability for us to connect remotely to SBC for support purposes
* Ability for potential future development including
** Summary reports of each scanned item
** Uploading of above reports to web location for customer access
** Instant notification of each scanned item to central location
