Raspberry Pi Remote Commentary System
Budget: $750 – $1,500 AUD
I'm seeking a skilled freelancer to create a Raspberry Pi based remote commentary system. This system must utilize 2 USB headsets connected to a Raspberry Pi, allowing the commentators to hear each other and stream their mixed audio via GStreamer SRT to a server.
Key Requirements:
- Setup a SRT sender (using GStreamer) that will mix the headset microphones and stream it to the remote server
- Setup a SRT receiver (using GStreamer) that will receive audio and send to the headset speakers.
- Configure each SRT link to operate on separate ports (9811, 9812).
- Implement automatic recovery in the event of either or both USB headset being unplugged.
- Ensure the system boots and starts automatically, recovering from internet interruptions.
The Raspberry Pi will be running on Raspberry Pi OS, and the expected audio quality for streaming and playback is CD Quality (44.1 kHz / 16 bit). Experience with Raspberry Pi, GStreamer, and SRT is highly desirable for this project.
