Raspberry Pi Home Assistant Installation
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I'm in need of a skilled Raspberry Pi expert to set up a home automation system utilizing Home Assistant. My main focus is on integrating and configuring climate control features.
Im looking for someone to send me a template that i can install. The purpose of this is to add a device to control some home automation. I will need tuya installed as well as all the smart thermostats available such as nest, ecobee, honeywell etc. I want to be able to intergrate with all of them.
My ideal plan is to show up to the customer and plug in the device and do some minor configs such as setting up and creating the connections to their smart home devices. meaning all i want to do is setup the intergration but i want all of them available to me becouse its hard to know what the customer has. So we install all of the common ones.
The project requires building a secure, pre-configured image of Home Assistant OS with all necessary integrations, including Tuya, already set up. The image must be configured to operate securely at the device level, as no changes can be made to the customer's firewall. The main security tasks include changing passwords, enabling updates, and implementing MFA. The goal is to have an image that can be easily deployed at customer sites, with minimal setup needed to make the integrations go live.
We will need to test this also.
Key Project Details:
- I have prior experience with Raspberry Pi, but I need someone with in-depth knowledge of Home Assistant
- This project is primarily focused on climate control; the successful freelancer will be responsible for integrating sensors, thermostats, and other relevant devices
- The environment the system will be installed in is a residential setting, so the freelancer should be knowledgeable in home automation
- While the main focus is on climate control, the system should be scalable for future automation integrations
Skills and Experience:
- Prior experience with Raspberry Pi and Home Assistant is a must
- Proven track record in setting up and integrating home automation systems, especially climate control
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills to understand and meet the needs of the project.
