Professional Setup of Asterisk 21 LTS with Docker and PostgreSQL Realtime
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Project Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled professional to configure a fully optimized and production-ready Asterisk 21 LTS environment using Docker, integrated with PostgreSQL for realtime management of endpoints and trunks.
Scope of Work:
Deploy Asterisk 21 LTS using Docker (mandatory)
Install and configure PostgreSQL (can also be dockerized) with a well-structured schema for realtime usage
Configure ODBC integration for realtime management of:
SIP endpoints (PJSIP)
SIP trunks
Optimize Asterisk for maximum call capacity and performance
Ensure proper NAT handling for external traffic and carrier interoperability
Enable and configure G729 codec
Implement Fail2Ban to enhance security against SIP-based attacks
Deliver a minimal and clean configuration, following best practices for performance and maintainability
Provide complete documentation, including:
PostgreSQL schema and table structure
All Asterisk configuration files (.conf)
Setup and configuration commands
Instructions for ongoing maintenance and administration
Technical Expectations:
Advanced knowledge of Asterisk realtime with PostgreSQL (via ODBC)
Experience with PJSIP, NAT traversal, SIP trunking, and high-performance VoIP environments
Solid understanding of Docker-based deployment and container networking
Ability to deliver a modular, scalable, and production-grade Asterisk system
Important Notes:
Dockerized architecture is required and should be optimized end-to-end
If the professional believes that a host-based (non-Docker) deployment would be technically superior in terms of performance or reliability, this may be proposed with proper technical justification
