About 11 days ago, over a period of two consecutive days, a linux pc has failed to wake up after overnight hibernation.

First day, the pc did not respond to moving the mouse, although the fans in the pc were working okay. Switching the monitor off and then on caused the monitor to give 'no signal' message. Later in the day, the mouse was again moved and the monitor came on okay. So pc behaved as normal.

Second day, again the pc would not wake up. Monitor was switched off and on to no effect. A soft reboot plus the pressing of certain keys caused the monitor
display to come back but there was no cursor on the screen and the mouse appeared to be frorezen. More key combinations tried but nothing happened. There was no light on the keyboard.

Third morning. The monitor, keyboard and mouse all working okay.

Since then the pc has been working as normal.

Can anyone explain why the pc failed to wake as normal over those two consecutive days ?
