Also need to add an anti ddos / antispaming script in etc/fail2ban. This script will block a list of bad bots which increase cpu load with spamming traffic. we already have 2 scripts for these.
The existing script we run makes the opposite. Means allows some good bots but not all ( like plesk 360 monitoring, downfinder.com, uptime.com) and blocks all the others. This script has no good settings because blocks some good bots although like googlebot plesk 360 monitoring, downfinder.com, uptime.com)
Need also to check the second existing script for anti ddos which blocks each ip that make hits more than 15 times per minute. We observe that some ips overcome these scripts and continue to make hits over the limit 15 hits per minutes.
The goal is to reduce server's cpu and to protect the sites from ddos attacks + bad bots by setting up correct the current scripts and Mariadb
