Oracle Applications DBA
Budget: ₹1,000,000 – ₹2,500,000 INR
DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Senior Technical Manager of Student & HR Systems in Stanford University IT (UIT), this position provides mission critical Applications and Database administration support for Stanford University. A successful candidate should have recent and hands-on experience in patching, upgrading, and maintenance of enterprise infrastructure Oracle environments (primarily Linux based).
JOB PURPOSE:
Install, configure, patch, upgrade, administer, monitor, and maintain highly available Oracle, PeopleSoft, web, application servers and databases.
CORE DUTIES*:
• Maintain, support, patch and upgrade PeopleSoft Applications and PeopleTools.
• Responsible for all applications, databases, servers’ alerts and issues.
• Support Linux/Windows servers and environment maintenance and planned outages
• Respond to daily support tickets and requests.
• Proactively and reactively monitoring and responding to applications and server performance issues, triage, recover affected tech stacks.
• Support, patch and maintain highly available database environments.
• Build, configure, secure, and enhance Oracle and PeopleSoft PIA server environments.
• Provide on-going environments refreshes, builds and technical support.
• Participate in performance loading testing, tuning, and improving operational processes.
• Other duties may also be assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and eight years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Accountable and quick learner with can-do attitude and aptitude.
• Ability to work well independently and as a team member in cross-functional teams.
• Self-starter and take responsibility to contribute
• Take ownership of issues or tasks
• Must have Oracle DBA skills (Oracle 12c and higher)
• PeopleSoft/PeopleTools Apps Admin skills is desired
• Experienced in setup and configuration of Weblogic, Apache, Tomcat and other fusion middleware.
• Proven experience in Apache and Weblogic servers. Maintaining SSL certificates and wallets
• Solid Knowledge of Linux and Windows systems platform.
• UNIX, SQL scripting automation experience is preferred.
• Cloud AWS/GCS implementation and support experience is a plus.
• Desire to grow in knowledge of DEVOps, CI/CD and Cloud technologies.
