The task involves migrating Odoo to a self-hosted cloud server (VPS with Linux) and ensuring that all required functionalities continue working correctly.
1. Server Configuration
Install and configure Linux on a VPS. (we will give the hosting credentials)
Set up automatic updates without affecting customizations.
Implement security measures (firewall, SSL, attack protection).
Configure backups and monitoring to ensure system stability.
2. Odoo Migration
Transfer the Odoo database to the new server.
Ensure compatibility of modules and customizations.
3. Email Configuration
Set up two custom domain email accounts for CRM and Chat.
Maintain and properly configure email aliases within Odoo.
Implement SPF, DKIM, and DMARC to prevent spam issues.
4. Customizations to Maintain
Keep product image upload functionality in Odoo.
5. Testing and Validation
Verify that Odoo functions correctly after migration.
Ensure that all custom modules and essential functionalities work properly.
