OOM-Killer randomly kills services on raspbian

I am running a few services on a raspberry pi machine where randomly some processes get killed via oom-kill despite the system seems not to run out of memory at all.
I have no clue where to start and am looking for someone who can take a look at the log files to get a hint where the problem might be.

Should be a quick project for an experienced linux administrator.
