Not able to Load VM with Linux operating system

I have a VM and using Linux (Cent OS) in that VM. When I am trying to start that VM it is giving me error: Welcome to emergency mode! after logging in, type "journalctl -xb" to view.."

I am also not able to enter the root password, it is not accepting it.

I can not change the VM. It has all the data in it.
