Job Title: Server Setup and Configuration for Multiple Domains and Applications
Job Description:
I need a freelancer to set up and configure my dedicated server to host multiple domains and applications. The goal is to ensure that each domain/application works without conflicts, even though they might use similar ports (80 and 443) for HTTP/HTTPS.
Specific Requirements:
Server Setup:
Configure the server to handle multiple domains on a single IP address.
Set up DNS records for each domain to point to the server.
Web Server Configuration:
Set up a web server (Apache or Nginx) to manage requests for different domains.
Configure virtual hosts (Apache) or server blocks (Nginx) for each domain to ensure requests are routed to the correct application.
Implement a reverse proxy setup if necessary to handle different applications on the same server.
Application Setup:
Install and configure Coolify and Cyberanel or any other web hosting panel (or other applications) on the server.
Ensure that both applications run on the same server without interfering with each other, even if they use the same ports (80 and 443). If necessary, assign each application a unique port or configure a reverse proxy.
Security & Optimization:
Install SSL certificates for HTTPS (preferably using Let's Encrypt).
Configure firewall rules to secure the server.
Optimize server performance for handling multiple applications.
Testing & Documentation:
Test the configuration to ensure that the applications are running correctly without any port conflicts.
Provide clear documentation on how to manage the server and domains going forward.
Technical Skills Required:
Experience with Linux servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.)
Proficiency with Apache and/or Nginx web servers.
Experience with domain management, DNS, and SSL certificates.
Familiarity with reverse proxy configurations.
