Mobile Data Connection needs Public IP for Server Hosting
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Many mobile service providers make the user a member of their NAT network with no reachable IP number. Services like VOIP are working perfect. A Web-Server or an FTP-Server can not be reached, because there is no public IP number with many mobile contracts.
In Switzerland, there is no provider that does offer the possibility to get an IP number for a mobile (4G/5G) contract at all. You can get a regular SIM card with unlimited calls and SMS to switzerland AND unlimited 5G speed and data volume for under USD 15.- per month. My actual speed is 990Mbit down and 200Mbit up. Latency is 20ms. My Router is a AVM Fritzbox 5G with the go-mo.ch SIM card. I try to reach my Synology NAS connected to my AVM Router that I changed from an VDSL version (with IP for USD 40.- with 140/40Mbit ) to an 5G version (without IP).
DynDNS or VPN does not work because there is no publicly reachable IP with the mobile service.
The goal is a host server that would have IP numbers and rent them for little money eg. 1 to 2.- USD / month to those mobile clients. Any routers would simply set up a DynDNS connection to that host server. The possible host server needs a possible web-server for selling the IP-Numbers. That also needs to be done.
For direct use on a cell phone there might be the need for an mobile app.
My price suggestion might be unrealistic.
I am open for any suggestion. Tell me what you think.
