Migrate Linux Server from Rackspace Cloud to DigitalOcean VPS (Apache + MySQL)

I need an experienced Linux server administrator to migrate my current Rackspace cloud server to a DigitalOcean VPS. The server is running Apache, MySQL, and PHP, hosting several websites and services.

Scope of Work:
Analyze the current Rackspace server (Linux-based, running Apache + MySQL)

Set up an equivalent or improved environment on a new DigitalOcean VPS

Migrate all websites, MySQL databases, config files, and necessary services

Transfer and configure DNS records (if applicable)

Ensure all sites and services are fully operational on DigitalOcean

Minimize downtime and ensure data integrity throughout

Secure the new server (firewall, SSH, fail2ban, updates, etc.)

Provide a post-migration report and documentation

Requirements:
Solid experience with Linux server migrations

Strong knowledge of Apache, MySQL, PHP, and general LAMP stack

Proficiency in tools like SSH, rsync, mysqldump, SCP, etc.

Experience working with Rackspace and DigitalOcean

Ability to troubleshoot and fix issues quickly during transfer

Deliverables:
Fully working and optimized DigitalOcean VPS

All websites and databases transferred successfully

Secure, production-ready configuration

Short documentation or checklist of work performed

Timeline:
Ideally completed within 48–72 hours of project start
