Project Overview: I am seeking assistance in optimizing our existing Logstash pipeline following the recent upgrade of our ELK stack from version 7.14 to 8.15. With the upgrade, several components and configurations may need adjustments to ensure optimal performance, compatibility, and efficiency. The objective is to fine-tune the pipeline to leverage the new features, improve processing speed, and ensure compatibility with the latest version of Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana.
Key Objectives:
Pipeline Compatibility Check:
Review the existing Logstash pipeline configurations to ensure compatibility with the new ELK stack (v8.15).
Identify and address deprecated features or changes in Logstash, Elasticsearch, or Kibana that could impact the pipeline’s performance.
Performance Optimization:
Optimize the existing pipeline for improved throughput and reduced latency, ensuring efficient data ingestion and processing.
Analyze and fine-tune resource usage (CPU, memory, I/O) to handle increased data volumes effectively post-upgrade.
Implement and/or update filtering and parsing rules to align with the best practices for Logstash 8.15.
Logstash Plugin Updates:
Verify that all Logstash plugins used in the pipeline are updated to be compatible with version 8.15.
