Load Testing of user traffic to the AMF of a 5G Core Mobile Network, to see the CPU of the AMF Vary

It’s necessary to have the next skills:
- 5G Core Mobile Networks.
- Docker and dockerization.
- Virtualization, virtual machines (VMs).
- Prometheus and Grafana knowledge
- User Traffic monitoring
- Linux SO.

The simulator can be Free5gCore (preferably), Open5GS, OpenAirInterface 5G, etc. Principally free simulators.

Requirements:

1. Deploy only AMF independently and make it work (in a different cluster than the Core). That is, deploy the Core, but the AMF component must be deployed independently on a different virtual machine with communication to the Core. Because it’s necessary to monitor the CPU only of the AMF to see CPU variations when the user traffic is applied. It’s important monitor the CPU of the AMF container, and output the current CPU usage value and its historical CPU values in order to store them in an excel file relating the date (time) and the percentage (%) of CPU usage.
Tools to monitor de CPU: Prometheus/Grafana or other free tool.

2. Dockerize the AMF, that is, in a Docker container.

3. Expose the AMF component and make load tests with user traffic, that is, simulating User Equipments like phones, tablets etc, or with any software tools that represents User Equipments (It could be generated in a different virtual machine, with communication to the AMF). Upload and download User Traffic in order to see the CPU of the AMF container increase and decrease. It’s very important to listen and monitor the user traffic (with a sniffer software) in order to observe request losses, packet loss or response times or delays when the CPU of the AMF is critical or the AMF is collapsed.
