Systems Administrator for an eCommerce and production platforms running Linux and Apache in high volume/critical production environments.
· Work with development, QA and IT teams to maintain all operational systems.
· Respond to trouble tickets in a timely manner.
· On-call support.
· Create and maintain IT documentation.
· Use IT ticketing system
· Maintain and ensure availability of a Linux based e-Commerce server farm.
· Maintain and ensure availability of production systems
· Maintain Enterprise-wide monitoring systems.
· Maintain Production, QA and Development environments, as well as deploy new code to these environments.
· Write Ruby, Perl, Bash, and/or PHP scripts for tasks such as automation, monitoring and troubleshooting.
· Troubleshoot in-house web applications, using a combination of Bash and PHP.
· Maintain backups.
· Maintain and troubleshoot Windows server and desktop systems as required.
Requirements:
· Must be have an educational background in Information Technology, Computer Science or anything related.
· Must have minimum 4 years experience in Linux system administration or engineering.
· Strong Linux knowledge (Debian)
· Networking and storage knowledge (NFS, iSCSI)
· Web servers (Apache, Nginx)
· Databases (Postgresql, MySQL)
· Monitoring (Nagios/Icinga)
· Common services (DNS, DHCP, etc)
· Bash scripting
· Python/ruby will be a plus
· Docker will be a plus
· Cloud services – AWS, Azure will be a plus
