Linux VPS Maintenance and Upgrade
Budget: $100 – $130 USD
I'm in need of a seasoned Linux admin to help with my Ubuntu 18.04 VPS. The tasks to be completed are as follows:
- Backup existing system/applications (2 different web facing apps are running on it with Databases)
- Upgrade OS
- Fix remote desktop monitor issues
- Replace index page for one application (we will provide the page)
- Test everything and make sure it works
The current OS is Ubuntu 18.04. The type of remote desktop protocol in use is yet to be determined. It's unclear if the two web-facing applications have any specific configurations or dependencies that need to be considered during the upgrade.
Ideal skills for this job include:
- Extensive experience in Linux system administration, particularly Ubuntu
- Proficient in server backup and restoration
- Knowledgeable in diagnosing and fixing remote desktop issues
- Able to replace web application pages and conduct thorough testing post changes.
