Linux Kafka Setup with High Availability
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I'm in need of a seasoned professional to set up Kafka on a Linux server. The system will definitely require high availability, scalability, and security.
Key Requirements:
- Installation and Configuration: I'm looking for someone with deep expertise in setting up Kafka on a Linux server.
- High Availability: The system should be able to handle failovers and ensure smooth operation even in the face of hardware or software issues.
- Scalability: I'm aiming for an architecture that can seamlessly scale out as the data load increases.
- Security: Your role will be to ensure that the system is secure and able to keep our data safe.
The actual setup and whether it will be single-node, multi-node or a cluster with Zookeeper integration will be discussed once we get started.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proficient in Kafka: You should have a strong understanding of Kafka, its architecture, and best practices for installation.
- Linux Server Experience: I expect you to be comfortable with Linux server environments and should have experience working with them.
- Experience with High Availability and Scalability: It would be a big plus if you have prior experience setting up high availability and scalable Kafka systems.
- Security Skills: Ensuring the system's security is crucial, so a background in security implementation would be beneficial.
Kafka exposed to any available port, hosted on debian 12 preferably. I need to able to communicate with it using kafkacat from another external machine in bi-directional ways,
It needs to be authenticated with username & password using SASL_PLAINTEXT protocol or SSL. I also need to have a explanatory documentation on how to deploy it in a word document or pdf so I can deploy myself on any server, and documentation needs to include on how to configure it and pinpoint the important configurable bits
If you're confident in your ability to handle this project, I'm eager to hear from you.
