Kiosk mode raspberry pi with peripheral access

I have a raspberry pi already set up to auto boot into kiosk mode via a chromium browser with a touch screen frame. One part of my project involves triggering things in the browser based on an NFC card reader being touched.
I'd like to work with someone on to get the browser accessing a local version of the website that can be updated remotely, and for them to help me understand and build any necessary apis, providing info on security, firewalls and the options to have the NFC reader on the rpi update a local database.
