EC2 Instance Configuration Error Fix
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm experiencing a configuration error with my EC2 instance setup. Server fails the self test and becomes inaccessible after some hours or days of use.
In order to bring it back to an operational state, we have to stop the instance and start it again, then everything goes back to normal for some hours or days then the issue starts again.
This has been tested in Ubuntu 22.04 and Ubuntu 24.04.
Before configuring the additional services, the server worked fine with no issues but just running Apache.
When we then installed our website, running Laravel 10, PHP and Mysql database, then issue started. We additionally installed a web socket library on the server running on port 6001.
We are not sure why the server fails to be reachable after some time as we do not see anything pointing to the source of the problem.
