Install SSL certificate on remote server due to issue in web application

Hi I have web application running on a remote server that requires a specific SSL certificate to show some of the data I need. That SSL expired and I renewed it but I don't know how to install it in the remote server. So I would like to get help from someone with experience in web apps and SSL certificates. Thanks.
