Install Overleaf on Ubuntu VM with SSL and Email
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am looking for an experienced freelancer to install and properly configure Overleaf, the Online LaTeX editor, on my virtual machine. The project includes the following tasks:
1. Installation and Configuration:
• Install Overleaf from the official repository: https://github.com/overleaf/overleaf
• Ensure all popular LaTeX plugins are enabled and working correctly.
• Configure SMTP integration for email functionalities.
2. Backup and Recovery:
• Provide documentation and/or scripts to backup and recover the setup.
3. Automated Deployment:
• Write a script that will deploy the entire setup automatically as a Proxmox LXC container.
4. Reverse Proxy Setup:
• Configure the Overleaf server to work behind existing Nginx Reverse Proxy Manager.
• Nginx RPM will issue a third-level domain name for the Overleaf instance and handle Let’s Encrypt certificates.
Server Details:
• We will provide SSH tunnel access to an Ubuntu 22.04 instance.
• Nginx will be configured to redirect requests from port 443 to port 80 of this instance.
Payment Structure:
• 20% of the negotiated project price after you demonstrate Overleaf installed and working on _your_ temporary server.
• 50% after you deploy everything on our server.
• 30% after you provide the documentation and deployment scripts.
I'm looking for a professional with:
Proven experience in setting up Self-hosted software on Ubuntu servers.
Knowledge of LaTeX and its plugins.
Experience with Nginx Reverse Proxy Manager and Let’s Encrypt.
Ability to write clear documentation and automation scripts.
Familiarity with Proxmox LXC containers.
If you have the skills and experience to complete this project, please submit your proposal with relevant examples of your previous work.
