Imagemagick Script Debugging

I am looking for an ImageMagick expert to solve a transparency handling problem when compositing images. I need to overlay one transparent image on top of another, but currently the end result is not correct: the background of the transparent image is not removed as it should
The script works correctly on one server, but on another server (with the same version of ImageMagick) the result is different.
The goal is to fix the problem permanently and ensure that the script works correctly on both servers. As a fix either a modification of the script or figuring out what server configurations are not making the script work may be fine.
Skills required:
Experience with ImageMagick and image composition.
