Home Network VPN Setup via OpenVPN

Job ID: 38555214

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I'm seeking a Linux expert to set up a VPN tunnel from my laptop to my home network using OpenVPN. This solution should incorporate Dynamic DNS (DDNS) for connectivity and enable routing through my home network to the internet.

The purpose of the setup is to enable me to reside anywhere in the world yet access the internet from my home network (a current requirement for employment) .. Ideally I would establish the vpn using two PCs each running a flavor of Linux. My company laptop would connect to one of the PC's via ethernet cable. A tunnel would be built to another PC residing in my home which would then connect to my internet connection.

High level data flow

MY Work PC ---> VPN PC1 --- VPN Tunnel -- VPN PC2 ---> MY Home Network Router ---> Internet

I need someone provide me with VM's or packages to install on both VPN PCs to build this vpn connection.

Key Requirements:
- Establish a VPN tunnel using OpenVPN
- Configure DDNS for seamless global access
- Enable routing through my home network to the internet

I require this setup to have basic encryption for security. The primary device for connecting to the VPN will be my laptop.

Ideally, you should have:
- Extensive experience with Linux and OpenVPN
- Familiarity with DDNS
- Skills in network configuration and security

Please note, this project does not require high-level encryption or multi-factor authentication. The aim is to have a cost-effective, functional, and secure VPN solution.
