Help finish config of Git, VS Code, SourceTree, remote Linux server, Node App
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
I have a
Node/React/Scala/Xitrium App on a Linux VM and also a duplicate development VM
2 Git Repos on Bitbucket
Git is working on the Linux VM
VS Code & Source Tree installed on local MacBook
VS code can see remote linux files.
Sourcetree is connecting okay to Git Repo
I'm pretty new to Git and Node and VS Code/Source Tree
I would like someone who is familiar with all this stuff to screen share and check my setup and teach me a little about the best way to use all these tools in an efficient way. Also teach me a little Git as I have made a few changes now and have not committed them. I am going to be the only developer for the moment.
Someone who is familiar with Node and perhaps React or Scala or Xitrium would be ideal as there may be more assistance required since there is some development assistance required.
However for this first job it would be fine just to make sure the environment is all setup properly and I understand how to use it and develop in the most efficient way. So if you only know Node for example that would be fine.
Looking for someone who can spend 2 sessions of about 1 hour each initially,
At the end of this I want to be able to
1. search for text in all the code quickly and efficiently
2. commit changes to live server
3. rollback changes
4. pull changes to the development server
5. Understand if there is a better way to setup a development environment locally on the Mac (this could be another job)
