Fix CentOS HTTP Server Downtime

My linux centos server has gone down once a day (yesterday and today) at the same hour. Between 15h00-16h00. It worked back when rebooted but I don't want it to go down every day. The server is used as a HTTP server to host a 20 (twenty) years old php hit tracker script. I rent a separate server that hosts the MYSQL databases so the http server sends DB connection requests to a separate server for database requests. I noticed that before the HTTP server is going down the number of concurrent connection to DB was 136. Then after reboot of http server, the number of concurrent connections went down from 136 to 56. I suspect something causes an accumulation of concurrent connection requests and overloads the http server that crashes but I am not a server admin. When I try to ping the server when down, it says Time out and does not come back by itself.
Important:
The server config etc are old and this is normal because it hosts a 20 year old php script. I do NOT want you to update any module or version of anything. Otherwise sites hosted may stop working.
Please let me know if you are ready to begin now to investigate and fix the issue. You may want tk check from the logs etc what went wrong. However I am not sure if logs are activated on server.

I will have another project to backup the current ssd drive to an additional ssd drive on same server so I can switch the drives when one ssd dies for you if you do this project successfully.
