Enhancing Network Security via KVM and VXLAN
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm seeking a seasoned virtualization expert to configure KVM and VXLAN with a principal goal of elevating network security levels. Your responsibility will include ensuring the safety of virtual machines running databases and web servers.
Key Tasks:
- Set up and manage network configuration for KVM virtual machines
- Integrate VXLAN for virtual machines
- Ensure VM's without vxlan or with one particular vxlan can not see other vxlan's or can sniff traffic from other vxlan's.
Ideal skills for the task:
- In-depth knowledge of both KVM and VXLAN (openvswitch or alternatives)
- Proficiency in configuring linux network and bridging.
Environment:
- KVM virtualisation (command line only, not UI)
- Ubuntu 22.04 os
- Baremetal servers have enough resources (AMD Epyc, minimum 32GB RAM)
- Baremetal server each has 1 public network interface to gateway/public router and 1 private network interface to private switch
