Embedded Linux Systems Engineer
Budget: £5 – £10 GBP
We are seeking a skilled Linux System Architect/Engineer to help us design and maintain a minimal, optimised Linux distribution tailored to support a kiosk application. This role will involve managing the full lifecycle of the operating system, from architecture to deployment, as well as ongoing support for a variety of hardware platforms.
• Architect and implement a minimal linux distribution to support a kiosk app
• Provide stable and unstable channels for testing
• Deploy necessary firmware, images, configurations and package updates for a handful of hardware variants
• Provide internal documentation and relevant procedures
• Generate automated audit reports
• Interface with kiosk app developers to align OS support, compatibility, potential enhancements
• Advise on future hardware compatibility
• Provide (rare) L3 support on OS-related incidents
