DevOps Expert to Fix Volume Permission Issue in Kubernetes Setup
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
I am looking for a DevOps expert who can help me fix a volume permission issue in my custom setup Kubernetes cluster. It has volumes with `local-storage` provider. I am trying to setup php applicaiton (wordpress) everything worked well but php can not write to the volume.
I have successfully setup mysql using helm charts so I know local volume should work just fine. So, maybe just because ownership misconfiguration.
Skills and experience required:
- Strong knowledge and experience in Kubernetes, specifically with custom setups and self-hosted clusters
- Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving permission issues related to reading and writing files in Kubernetes
- Familiarity with web applications and their integration with Kubernetes
- Ability to analyze and diagnose the root cause of the volume permission issue and implement the necessary fixes
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
Deliverables:
1. Find out & Fix the cause of the permission issue. I have yml setup in a github repo.
2. Once you find the fix you will have to commit the changes in k8s yaml file in the github repo. You can do cli edits thats fine but you must provide the fix with yaml. I manage all codes using yaml files.
3. After yaml file is done you will have to write a report about the fix, what caused it and what you did to fix it. (a simple google doc file).
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully resolving volume permission issues in Kubernetes setups, particularly in custom setups. They will also have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
(if I find a good person with reasonable price, this may lead to other work in future).
