Deployment of a Searxng nternet metasearch engine
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We currently use a docker container to deploy searxng (aplookup.com) , but looking to deploy a new instance installed directly on a server so we can further customize the interface. I need to deploy similarly to look like my existing site aplookup.com. I need to make sure letsencrypt with reverse proxy is functioning so I have free SSL certificates, and they auto-renew. This is currently working with a Caddy docker container (https://github.com/searxng/searxng-docker). I need the domain aphosting.com forwarding to www.aplookup.com. I need tweaks to make sure I am pulling results from Google without errors, but also blocking bots from requesting too often (similar to how I deployed the redis docker container https://github.com/searxng/searxng-docker). The main reason I can't use the existing docker containers is because I want access to the images and CSS easily for tweaks to the links and main image. I need to use my custom logos for the site. I would like the main logo larger to fit the site, but look good on all screen types, including tablets and phones. I was able to find creative ways to get as far as I did. I am looking for guidance if a shared web host or a Linode host would fit better for hosting this site.
