Custom Firmware for SOLID HDS2-9999 Box

I am looking for a freelancer to develop custom firmware for my SOLID HDS2-9999 box. This firmware needs to be based on Linux, and needs to integrate existing features. I do not have existing source code to use for this project.
The successful freelancer will be responsible for working with an existing platform, and customising it to my specifications. This will involve creating device drivers, integrating existing features, and ensuring the firmware is stable and up to date.
The successful freelancer should have experience working with Linux operating systems, and have a deep understanding of how to build custom firmware. It is important that they are able to develop the firmware to run with minimal downtime, and understand how to make the code secure. As there will be no existing source code to work off of, the developer will need to have an innovative approach to coding.
I am seeking someone with a strong background in software engineering, embedded systems, and open source development models. The successful freelancer must have knowledge in firmware development methodology, integration of existing features and compatibility with different platforms.
