Creating a open source data base on VPS

i would like to create/install a database with an opensource software on a VPS. i would require someone with prior knowledge on working with a vps. the selected candidate would require to send a manual on completion of the project. troubleshooting would be an additional requirement when required and compensation shall be given accordingly.
