Build vintage Turbo Vision Demo on Centos

Hi,
I am looking for someone skilled in C++ builds under Centos/Ubuntu Linux.
I need to build some old Turbo Vision Demos library, to do some tests with this awesome text-based UI.
I can use Centos or Ubuntu.

I have no experience in building this stuff, and I need a clear and simple tutorial :
- which packages/tools to install, in which order.
- how to build and run the demo apps included in the repos above.
- how to build and run my apps.

PS - I am also open to suggestions on better/newer TUI frameworks.
