Airgapped Linux Privacy Laptop (Encrypted Setup)
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need help preparing a secure, offline Linux laptop. The system will be used for sensitive data management, and must be configured to never connect to the internet after setup.
Install a privacy-focused Linux distro (recommendations welcome: Qubes, Mint, Debian, etc.)
Set up full disk encryption
Harden BIOS (disable networking, boot order lock, password protection)
Configure basic offline tools (file encryption, secure vault, checksum verification tools)
Nice to Have:
USB bootloader setup
Training or notes on how to update/reinstall securely
Important Notes:
This system must remain offline and airgapped
I will provide USBs, files, and laptop.
No remote access; this will be done in person or recorded for review
Please ensure the final setup is secure, usable, and 100% offline.
