Add Observability tooling to Google Microservices Demo

Job ID: 30762898

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

Pyroscope is an open source continuous profiling platform. We're a YC-backed seed stage company based out of Oakland, CA.

We're looking for a backend developer to help us integrate Pyroscope alongside other tools for the Google Microservices Demo (https://github.com/GoogleCloudPlatform/microservices-demo).

You can also see some examples that Grafana gives combining logs metrics and tracing here:
* Blog: https://grafana.com/blog/2020/03/31/how-to-successfully-correlate-metrics-logs-and-traces-in-grafana/
* Live Demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVITI34ZFuk&t=1s

Our ultimate goal is to show Pyroscope (profiling) alongside logs (Loki), metrics (Prometheus), and Tracing (Tempo). We have several customers who are using Loki, Prometheus, and Tempo and having a publicly available demo that demonstrates the three of those alongside Pyroscope profiling as well would be very useful for us.

Required experience:
* Go experience
* Linux experience

Nice to have:
* experience with Docker
* experience with Kubernetes
* SRE / DevOps experience
* experience with observability products
* database experience
* solid CS knowledge, particularly understanding how trees work

Anyone is welcome to apply! Our hiring process is that if we like you background we would jump on a 30-min call for a short interview / discussion before fully committing. If you're successful with this project we would be more than happy to work with you in the future on similar projects.
