Spanish Fairy-Tale Localization

Job ID: 39951911

Budget: $15 – $25 AUD

I have a collection of classic fairy-tales that I want to share with Spanish-speaking children and teenagers. I’m looking for a linguist who can do more than swap words between languages; I need each story to read as if it were originally crafted in Spanish—clear, lively, and age-appropriate—while preserving the original charm and moral lessons.

Scope
• Translate and localize each tale so the prose feels natural to young readers in Spain and Latin America.
• Maintain character names and core plot points unless a direct cultural equivalent would clearly improve comprehension or enjoyment.
• Ensure vocabulary, idioms, and sentence length match the comprehension level of children (roughly 7–12) yet remain engaging for early teens.
• Deliver polished, proof-read Spanish text ready for print or digital publication (Word or Google Docs format is fine).

What I’ll provide
• The original English texts in editable files.
• Brief notes on tone and any sensitive themes that may need special handling.

Please include a short sample—100–150 words—from any children’s text you’ve previously translated, or take a paragraph from a public-domain fairy-tale and show me how you’d render it in Spanish. If we’re a good fit, we can discuss timelines, volume, and milestones story by story.
