Castilian Spanish Narrow IPA
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I’m carrying out linguistic research that zeroes in on contemporary Castilian Spanish, and I need every segment rendered in a precise narrow IPA transcription. The task goes beyond a broad phonetic pass: I want all the relevant allophonic detail captured—think [θ] vs. [s], aspirated or lenited stops, the palatal glide variations, and any other subtle realizations that distinguish Peninsular speech.
You will receive a set of spoken samples together with their orthographic text. Your job is to deliver a line-by-line transcription in standard IPA, keeping notation consistent throughout so the material is ready for direct inclusion in a research article. Please flag any tokens that present ambiguity so I can double-check them against the recordings.
Deliverable:
• A UTF-8 text or spreadsheet file listing each original utterance alongside its narrow IPA transcription.
Accuracy and internal consistency are the essential acceptance criteria. If you use Praat, ELAN, or similar tools during the process, feel free to mention that in your proposal—although the final output must remain a clean, copy-pastable text file.
