Judicial Bias Audio Analysis Using Praat (Spectrographic Study) The audio is 19 minutes I am looking for an experienced audio/speech analyst to conduct a detailed acoustic analysis of judicial audio recordings with a focus on detecting and quantifying potential bias in judicial speech patterns. The project will use Praat (or compatible tools) to analyze vocal features and provide spectrographic evidence. Scope of Work: Clean and preprocess court audio recordings. Use Praat to extract and analyze acoustic features (pitch, intensity, formants, speech rate, pauses, stress patterns, interuptions). Generate spectrograms and other visualizations to illustrate findings. Compare interaction patterns (e.g., differences in tone, interruptions, stress) between judicial speech directed toward different parties (e.g., judge v plaintiff, judge v defendants, judge v attorneys, gender, ethnicity, etc.). Produce a clear, well-structured report highlighting key findings and visual evidence. Deliverables: Processed audio datasets (if applicable). Praat analysis files, scripts, and spectrograms. Final written report (with visuals, data interpretation, and insights). Requirements: Proven experience in phonetics, linguistics, or forensic audio analysis. Strong skills in Praat scripting and spectrographic analysis. Ability to translate complex acoustic data into clear, accessible insights. Background in sociolinguistics or judicial/forensic studies is a plus. Ideal Candidate: Detail-oriented researcher with both technical and analytical expertise.
