Lighting Layout Design Needed

I need a lighting layout for a 8' ceiling in a 18'x36' work space/classroom/art studio that is used for manual labor and customer interactions. The space is not a typical office, workshop, or retail store, so a unique approach may be required. The desired ambiance is warm and inviting, which should enhance both the work environment and customer experience. It has a drop-ceiling and I was thinking a mix of can lights and pendants, but I do not know how to lay it out and how many of each. The classroom tables are on wheels and will be changed for different classes.
