American College Life: Confidence and Adjustment Mentor

I’m looking for a kind, mature, and reliable mentor—someone who can be like a big brother to me as I adjust to life in the United States. I’m 18 years old, a recent immigrant, and just finished my A-Levels before moving here. This is my first time in the U.S., and I’m still learning how to speak, behave, and carry myself in a way that fits American college life. I feel behind in maturity and social skills, and I’m hoping to find someone who can guide me, support me, and help me grow up with structure and confidence.

The ideal mentor will be at least 25 years old and currently studying at or graduated from a U.S. university with a good GPA. You should be familiar with American college culture, daily life, and basic social norms. Your role will involve mentoring me through weekly video calls (e.g., Zoom or Google Meet), helping me learn how to speak and behave more like a confident, independent young adult in America. This includes things like understanding social cues, improving my communication, building discipline, and even reviewing how I write emails or talk to people on campus. You should be someone I can trust, look up to, and grow with.
