review and file answer to civil complaint in Newnan, Georgia
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Hi. I've practiced law in Oregon State and Federal Courts for the past 26 years. In contrast, I've been admitted to practice in Georgia for about 45 seconds so I know 10% of nothing about the pleading and filing requirements in this state. I need to file the attached answer to a civil complaint on Monday (the applicable 30-day deadline to file it), but it's probably not yet fit for human consumption. Although the answer itself is hopefully pretty solid, I want to make sure we don't get bounced out of court based on a formality.
I need the answer reviewed to make sure we're using the correct pleading paper, margins, etc. We also need a certificate of service indicating an appropriate date of service on opposing counsel, in whatever form you guys use around here.
I think I have to sign up for Georgia e-court and file the answer myself because I'm technically a member of the bar, but if that's not the case I'd be interested in having someone else file it.
Thanks,
Jon Weiner
