I need a paralegal to research a felony case from Dade County Florida
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
In 1977 in Dade County Florida, I was convicted of two felonies: grand theft auto and receiving and concealing stolen property. I was found guilty on both counts, fined and sentenced on one count and given probation on the second. The last hearing was held in Broward County Florida in the mid 1980's. Both my parole and probation were terminated successfully. I was ready to pay my $5,000. fine from one of my accounts, and my father an AV rated attorney (Ohio) paid the fine from one of his accounts. I gave him my $5,000. check. About a year later, the Governor of the State of Florida (Chiles) restored my civil rights (excluding my right to own a firearm). Within the last 20 years, I began the process to return my firearm ownership. I went through the entire investigation and was denied "getting in line," because my fine had not been paid. The investigators would not acknowledge that the Governor would not have been able to restore my rights if the fine had not been paid.
My parents are deceased; Lancione law office is closed; the last members of that law office are deceased; and I have had at least four banks taken over or "failed" before 2010.
My only hope is to find the proceedings from the last "hearing" which took place in Broward County. Hopefully, it will reveal the fine that was paid.I Let me just add two items.
I served my parole and probation in Broward County. Years ago I was able to speak with the oldest employee of the probation department. When she learned of the Dade County involvement, She said they were famous for "shenanigans" at the time.
I have my case number.
