iOS Utility App Development

Job ID: 39253051

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m looking to develop a mobile app called Pocket Paralegal. This app is designed to help everyday people access simple, accurate, and fast legal information—especially those who may not be able to afford an attorney.

It will use AI (OpenAI/GPT-4) to help users ask legal questions and get plain-language answers, along with template letters, legal checklists, and basic know-your-rights guidance across common areas like:

ADA accommodations

Landlord/tenant disputes

Workplace discrimination

Family law basics

Debt collection and harassment

Criminal justice FAQs

✅ Core MVP Features:
Chat Assistant (AI-Powered)

Users can type a question (e.g., “How do I ask my boss for ADA accommodations?”)

GPT-4 provides a clear, legally accurate response in plain English

Template Generator

Generates letters or emails (e.g., complaint letters, request for accommodation, cease and desist)

Export as PDF or email copy

Legal Topic Library

Easy-to-navigate categories with short articles, checklists, and FAQ-style guides

Content can be AI-generated and reviewed (eventually by real legal pros)

Disclaimers & Terms

The app must include visible disclaimers:
“This is not legal advice. This app provides general legal information and templates for educational purposes only. Please consult an attorney for legal counsel.”

? Platform Preference:
Open to building it on Bubble.io, Flutter, or React Native (lightweight MVP version first)

Backend could be Firebase (if needed) or kept light with Bubble’s built-in database

? Legal Focus:
I'm a future JD candidate with a background in emergency management and compliance, so credibility and accuracy matter, even in plain language. I’ll be sourcing a licensed attorney to review content before full release.

?️ Tech Stack:
OpenAI API (for GPT-4 content)

Firebase or Bubble backend (depending on your recommendation)

Cross-platform mobile access (PWA first is fine, native later)
