My boyfriend allowed his friend to do some body work on my car over a year ago. I have paid him all the money we agreed upon. I would contact him every 2 weeks or so to see the progress he gave me one excuse after another I asked for my car he ghosted me. I tried locating him for months and was unsuccessful. I was able to locate him mom and she reached out to him, that when he became irate and demanded 10 k more and told ne he was going to file for an abandon car if i didnt pay him and when i did he was going to torch it and send me pictures' I went to the police several times and the prosecutors office for assistance they said It was a civil matter
