Yurt Legal Research in All Municipalities and Counties of California
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Hello,
I am building an informational website for those that are in the United States and want to build a Yurt on their property to either live in, rent or use. However, the legalities of putting a yurt on private land throughout each state, county and municipality seems to be a gray area that not many people know about or much information has been provided for online. I am looking to hire someone to first begin with combing through the laws and legalities for the State of California and find all laws that pertain to building a yurt on private property.
I will make a one time payment for the project and I want a list of the state laws that pertain to yurts, a list of all counties and whether or not there are any laws that pertain to yurts if there are any and a list of all municipalities that have any laws that pertain to yurts. If there are no laws, then I would like for the county or municipality to be still listed but state that there are no laws pertaining to yurts in the literature. I would also like to be provided several links to the building officials of each county and municipality in order to contact them for more information about their policies around yurts.
The final result would be one document with a list of all counties and whether or not they have any laws that pertain to yurts in the building code or anywhere else in their laws and include links to websites and contact information in order to contact the county for more information on the matter. Another document with a list of all municipalities and whether or not there are any building codes that pertain to yurts and contact information and website links to the building officials for each municipality. Below is what a picture of a yurt looks like. It is a circular structure with wooden walls and beams that lead from the walls to the top of the yurt. There are several layers of canvasing that goes overtop the structure to provide insulation and cover from the elements. Most yurts use reflective heating in order to heat the structure with a wood stove or something similar and I have read that this can conflict with certain energy and insulation codes.
If this goes well, I may consider re-hiring you to do more research for more states that require it. Thank you for your interest and I look forward to reading your proposal.
