As an owner of an application needing an Extended Validation (EV) SSL Certificate, I'm looking for a proficient Australian lawyer to assist in signing a Letter of Opinion. This letter is a critical requirement from my certificate provider, Digicert. The following information is from Digicert:
Who may complete and sign the attached opinion letter?
You may sign the opinion letter only if you are an accountant or legal practitioner (including an in-house professional) who is licensed in your client's jurisdiction of incorporation, registration, or physical office location- -(a) a certified public or chartered accountant, or an accountant equivalently licensed by an entity that is a full member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), or (b) a legal practitioner (licensed attorney, solicitor, barrister, etc.) or licensed Latin Notary (i.e. member of the International Union of Latin Notaries). DigiCert will confirm your licensure with the appropriate regulating authority.
What does DigiCert do upon receipt of the opinion letter?
DigiCert is required to confirm the validity of your opinion letter. We will call you to obtain confirmation that you provided us with the opinion letter.
