Research Methods for Criminal Justice -- 4
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Hello, I need help with surveys and research for criminal justice. Here is an example of what I need,
Example of how to create a hypothesis:
Concepts chose: alcohol use (IV) and violence (DV)
From personal experience, I've seen people in bars who are drinking become violent towards others.
Research question: What effect does alcohol use have on violence?
Below are the ways I operationalized or measured my broad concepts:
IV (concept = alcohol use): number of alcoholic drinks consumed per week
Attributes: Numerical - 0 or more drinks
DV (concept = violence): ever been in physical fight
Attributes: Dichotomous Nominal - yes (1) and no (2)
Hypothesis (testable statement referring to the research question): The greater the number of alcoholic drinks someone consumes per week, the more likely they are to say they have ever been in a physical fight.*
*Notice I replaced the broad concepts of alcohol use and violence with specific and measurable variables
DO NOT CONTACT ME IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW IT WORKS!
Please look at the file as well.
Thank you.
