Read case background then brainstorm, legal, private detective, investigative journalist, press, brainstorm
Budget: $10 – $100 USD
Note that this is a job post for someone to find a lawyer, not a job post for a lawyer. In fact candidates do not necessarily need to know anything about law.
I need assistance finding a lawyer for a negligence case.
The job is as much about reading and understanding, as it is a long and lengthy case. There is some background reading to do, which may take up as much if not more time than the search.
Therefore someone fluent in English who reads a lot is preferred, as the prior reading is as much part of the job as the search. Salesmanship is preferred also, and brainstorming skills, as legal may not be the only available avenue. Any good ideas you have may be funded.
Important note: your bid is 30% reading, 70% finding a lawyer, or whatever else you brainstormed. Two milestones will be created, with a 70/30 split in the amount of your bid. To receive the full bid amount, both tasks must be completed. The successful candidate must be prepared to walk away with only 30% if they complete the reading yet fail to find a lawyer.
Having said that, reading is an unmeasurable task, and therefore reliability matters more than in most job posts, and candidates will be screened for this (i.e. reviews)
Requirements:
- Case type: Negligence
- Location: Anywhere
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Fluent in English
- Reads a lot
- Salesmanship
- Brainstorming ability
- Ability to conduct online research
