Ontario Family Law Deduction Research
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
I'm looking for an expert in Ontario Family Law, specifically experienced in the calculation of date of marriage deduction. The key requirements are:
- Understanding and interpretating relevant Ontario case law, and demonstrating examples where parties were not entitled to a date of marriage deduction.
- Developing an application to perform these calculations and display the results.
- Interpreting and inputting pertinent data for calculations.
You should have excellent legal research and writing skills, with a particular emphasis on Ontario Family Law. Case compilation experience is a plus. Your application should highlight any relevant experience.
Additional information:
- 2000, I (respondent) moved into her (applicant) house she was renting from her Mother
- February 2001, we bought the house together from her Mother
- The house was only in her (applicant) name only at the time
- When it came time to refinance the mortgage a few years later, title of the property was placed into both of our names
- October 2001 we were married
- We separated April 2021
- She is claiming unequal net family property division
Please provide Ontario Case Law examples demonstrating she (applicant) is not entitled to date of marriage deduction for its value, because it was in her name only while we were engaged to be married.
